Data retention period for a workspace¶
The data retention period for a workspace specifies a time period by which the system retains archived objects and data for the workspace. After the specified time period has elapsed, the system will permanently delete archived objects and data automatically from the database.
The data retention period is defined in the Workspace > General settings.
By default, the data retention period is set to indefinitely, which means that the system will retain archived objects and data indefinitely. With this default setting, if you want permanently delete any archived objects and/or data for workspace, you will have to individually select and manually delete them on an ad hoc basis.
To change the data retention period for a workspace:

In the navigation bar of the web client, click the username avatar to display a drop-down menu and select Settings.

Navigate to the Workspace > General settings.

Click or tap the Data Retention Period drop-down field and select a different value.

Click Update.
The data retention period is reset to the updated value. The system will permanently delete archived objects and data automatically according to the updated time period.
